REMEMBERING MY B.TECH DAYS...

Friends, today I felt a little nostalgic about my engineering days. I missed those crazy moments, those friends and a lot of fun we used to do at VSSUT Burla. And so, I penned down some feelings which are general, not specific to you or me... Hope you all like it.

I used to wake up at 6 in the morning,
And find my roommates still snoring.
I used to put a bucket of water on them,
And they used to scold me which sounded so lame.
But today I remember those happy days,
As those were my beautiful B.Tech days.

In first year we used to wear formals,
We always looked down, and that was so LOL.
But there was a friend who always used to say,
I will teach these seniors a lesson one day.
Those moments when I remember today,
I think where are those crazy B.Tech days.

Pretty girls in the canteen when we see,
A fight starts for who will ask them for tea.
Everybody will get a chance and no one should worry,
But one of them starts saying Bhaabi hai wo teri. ;)
I want to cherish all those moments today,
As those were my beautiful B.Tech days.

We make a group and walk in the town,
Talk to every shop owner like that shop we own.
We wore sunglasses and went to malls,
Just to see some beautiful girls.
I really crave for those moments today,
As those were my best of the days.

We all friends always used to yell,
Other branches girls are hot and we are in hell.
Why are we in Mechanical or civil,
These are the branches run by some devils. :P
A smile comes on my face, remembering those days,
Because those were my unforgettable B.Tech days.

No teachers were known by their name,
As we had already given them a pet name.
Now in the present when Ph.D. I am doing,
I think what name in future I will be hearing.
Those were some of the most beautiful days,
As those were my B.Tech days.

During the exams, the best word for us was hope,
We just wanted a Xerox of the original note.
Night canteens became so common those days,
We used to remain awake till we see sun rays.
Those were the best days, my heart says,
Even today I remember my B.Tech days.

Assignments were a tension which the toppers used to do,
We just used to copy them nothing of which we knew.
After 4 years when we were about to leave,
We knew that enjoyment is over and now we just have to live.
Those beautiful moments always come and say,
I am your those beautiful B.Tech days.

I learnt and experienced many things there,
I came to know about friendship, love and care.
Time is a thing which I can’t stop,
Again those moments I could live, I hope.
My brain has preserved all those moments of my life,
And I can say those were the best days of my life.

AND FINALLY I WISH TO SAY THESE LINES…

I miss you my friends really bad,
When something happens, and I sit sad.
Because I know you were the pillars I always had,
Even when I really became mad.
All my friends here, I think will surely say,
Even they become nostalgic, when they think of those days.
As time moves on, to God I pray,

Please return me those beautiful B.Tech days.

P.S. - There are many other enjoyable moments in engineering which I haven't done, so couldn't describe... :P

KARMA IS A BITCH...

Today I encountered a good experience, and my belief on GOD or whatever you call strengthened more. Its true whatever you do, will return back to you because KARMA IS A BITCH... Hope you all like it...  Today morning a wonderful experience I had, Though it felt good, trust me for someone it was bad. But what to do KARMA IS A BITCH, It never leaves till to you a lesson it teach. For every single word you speak that hurts other, One day with interest returns back to you and bother. But I am happy that someone is there, Who is ready to give every human their deserving share. Experiences in past had already made me a believer of God, But today I knew that no human is spared from his sword. The saying is true that, as you sow, so shall you reap; Even in a second the fortunes can flip. Don't hurt someone who's poor due to your present high status, Because even from the mud, someday blooms a lotus. For people who think nothing bad can happ...

KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM

Knowledge and wisdom. Just like 2 sides of the same coin.  Some feel knowledge is more important while for a few others, wisdom goes a long way. In my opinion, though, they both contribute more or less equally to a person's life. Yes, there are exceptions; a lot of exceptions. Still, I believe, with growth, with new generations coming in, both will play equal roles. During the beginning, knowledge surely has a greater role to play, but with age, wisdom and experiences are things that shall also matter a lot.  Now, knowledge and wisdom both grow with every new generation that impends on this planet. While the baggage of knowledge grows more as compared to wisdom because of the sheer amount of new technologies and inventions/discoveries that add up to the existing knowledge tree, wisdom is more subtle. Wisdom cannot be gained by surfing the internet, reading news articles, or on google. To develop wisdom, more creative approaches are required. Wisdom gets transferred from one ge...

A GIFT FOR THE BRIDE

A fter almost 3 months, I am blogging. This time its a story which is already there on my fb page. Happy reading. Sunaina, a girl of 24 years in the suburbs of Odisha was readying herself to leave her own home. The home of her own parents. It is 6 am in the morning. The night that just passed brought a big change in her life. From a cute cuddly daughter and sister, she has now become someone’s wife. She knows her husband well, but still she is not able to understand why she’s having that heartache. Silently, sitting in her room, tears were flowing down from her eyes. She was thinking how to control her tears. But she was unable to hold them back. Slowly, the door opened and she tried to wipe out her tears. Her brother silently stood and stared at her. She looked up and said, “Bhaiya, what happened?” Her brother, Manas entered the room and sat near her. “Sister, do you remember when you were six and I was eight, we played as kids with me performing your marriage. Do you ...
